Hey guys! Long time no see, ever since school started (my freshman year), I've been super busy and haven't had any time to write blog posts. Since it's summer, I am going to get back on track with writing blog posts at least weekly. I'm excited, and I hope you enjoy!

Today, I am going to be reviewing the Kylie Jenner lip kits. Kylie released these around November or December of last year, and I haven't been able to get my hands on them until now haha! I know they are super hard to get, but you can follow the Twitter account @LipKitUpdating. They post when the restocks are so that you can get your lip kit no problem. This is my first review on my blog, so here goes!

The only two kits that I got were Koko K matte liquid lipstick and So Cute gloss. I really want to get my hands on Heir metal liquid lipstick.

The packaging: The packaging is so beautiful. I am obsessed! It's a cute design and extremely durable. You can drop this and rely on it not breaking for sure. They are a little on the big and bulky side, so if you don't like bigger packaging you might not enjoy this. The only thing about it is that the black lettering/designs kind of rips/flakes off as time goes by. It's not that big of a deal, but I'm nervous that eventually all of the designs are going to flake off.

The scent: I think that scent is a very important part of new products. Something that you're putting on your face should definitely smell good. The smell of these lip products have a VERY strong vanilla/cupcake smell. You have to love the smell of sweet vanilla things to like the smell of these kits. Personally, I think it's a little bit too strong. When I first smelled it, it gave me headache right away. Fortunately, once it was dried on my lips, I couldn't smell it as much which was great.

The color: The color definitely looks different on people depending on their skin tone. Kylie is way tanner than me, so I thought it would be a light pinky nude, but it is actually is a dark pink on me because I'm super pale. I personally just don't think the color suits me but I only have one of the matte liquid lipsticks, so it's kind of hard for me to judge. I definitely want to get more colors and see how they look on me! The gloss color is absolutely beautiful and suits me really well! I love it.

liner, lipstick, and gloss

The formula: The formula for the liquid lipstick is good. It is so long wearing, and when I say that, I mean it! After it completely dries, it's like glue. I ran it under water and it didn't even budge! That's great, but the removal process is a different story - let's just say there's a lot of scrubbing. Since the formula is super long wear, it definitely dries out your lips. Even though it's very drying, it is still somehow comfortable! No stickiness, no transfer, no nothing - it feels very light on the lips. But, I don't know how Kylie makes it look so good, because it feathers on my lips and dries them out so much. It still looks good, but it's nothing incredible. The application process is a little bit hard as the applicator is kind of awkwardly shaped. I don't know if it's just me, but I find it difficult to apply somehow. It's not my favorite liquid lipstick in the whole world, but it still is good.
The liner is very smooth and I like the way it applies, although I find myself having to sharpen it after every use! It's so annoying. It definitely doesn't last as long as the lipstick, but that's expected because it's just a lip liner.
just the liner
Lip kit dried... you can see all the fine lines!

The gloss is one of my favorite glosses ever. It's so amazing! It's formula is great, feels so good on my lips, and is long lasting for a gloss. I find myself reaching for it everyday, it looks so good on me and is easy to apply!

so pretty!

Overall, these Kylie Jenner Lip Kits are great - long wearing, don't transfer, and feel very comfortable on the lips. But I personally don't think they're anything special. I don't think they're worth going through the stress of buying every single color... but let's face it, it's still cool to have something Kylie Jenner made!

My Favorite Eye Makeup Brushes

After doing my favorite face brushes, I though I'd show you my favorite eye brushes. I love experimenting with different eye looks, so a lot of different kinds of brushes are crucial to have.

The most important brush: a blending brush. These make your eyeshadow look so effortless, and really blend so easily. Everyone should have one of these. I couldn't decide between these two! The first one is a TrishMcEvoy 29 Tapered Blending brush.  It works so well and the tapered end gives such a precise look. The next one is a Morphe MB23Round Blender. This works similarly to the TrishMcEvoy one, but it is a little more dense. These are both awesome blenders!

Next, another essential brush is one to apply a lid color with. The one I use is this bhcosmetics concealer brush. (it came in a set of 36) Even though it's meant for concealer, it works really well as a flat shader to pack on eyeshadow for an intense color.

Eyebrows are so important! Anastasia is one of the most popular eyebrow brands, and I can really see why everyone loves it! This is the duo brush #12. I love how its double ended, so convenient! The angled brush is so good to give my eyebrows shape, and the spooolie makes it natural.

I use this bhcosmetics rounded liner brush to apply a highlight in my inner corner and on my brow bone. It packs on the product so well, and gives such an intense, awesome highlight that makes my eyes look so much more awake!

This next brush is another bhcosmetics one (lol, I just love their brushes!) It is the flat liner brush. I use this to apply liner only sometimes, but mostly to smudge out dark liner eyeshadow. It works great!

These are all of my favorite eye brushes! I strongly recommend all of them. I hope you give them a try! Peace lovelies <3

My first blog post! My favorite face brushes! (I will also do a favorite eye brushes later) These brushes I use everyday and love very much. Extremely recommended!

Starting off with foundation, this is a duo fiber stippling brush from bhcosmetics.com. bhcosmetics.com has amazing brushes at such a good price! I don't wear foundation every day, but when I do, it gives me a flawless complexion. I just buff it into my skin and it blends nicely.

For concealer, I love using this Trish Mcevoy Professional Sponge. It is easily comparable to a beauty blender. I just use it damp and it blends my concealer in a flash! Makes concealer time go by so much faster. (excuse how dirty it is, I just give it so much love!)

This Trish Mcevoy 48 Blending Brush is what I use to apply powder underneath my eyes and all over my face. It really packs on the product making sure I don't crease.

I don't normally wear blush, because I don't like the way it looks on me, but when I do, the bhcosmetics powder brush works great. (even though it's meant for powder, lol!)

Bronzer is one of my favorite parts of makuep, so you know I gotta have a good brush for it! I use the E.l.f. Essential Bronzing Brush. The angle it has gives me a great contour, and the density of it makes it easy to blend, giving me a natural look.

Last is a bhcosmetics large fan brush. (Can you tell I like bhcosmetics, haha!) Lemme tell you, it's LARGE! This brush works for bronzer and highlight, but I love using it to highlight my face. It gives such a natural look yet is very precise in where I want to apply the highlight.

Those are all my favorite face brushes. I hope you try some of these out! Peace lovelies! <3
